I started playing drums in my school concert band in New York in 1998 and then I joined the snare line in my high school marching band. I’m currently part of a rock/ alternative duo here in San Diego, and have previously gigged with a classic rock cover band, and an alternative/ funk/ blues group. I took private lessons in college in Arizona, and in 2010 I attended the Five-Week Summer Performance Program at Berklee College of Music in Boston. I have also taken private lessons with Jules Radino of Blue Oyster Cult (pictured above, left), and Sergio Bellotti at Berklee College of Music. I have been teaching on and off since 2005 and in 2015 I got a studio in Kearny Mesa where I now have band practice and give drum lessons.
It has always been my goal to help as many people to become drummers as possible, regardless of financial means. To this end, I am currently volunteering in preschool classrooms, and hope to one day have the resources to provide free drum lessons to anyone who cannot afford them.
